Battery Park... its beautiful and fun to just walk along the water. Get some yummy sandwhiches and have a picnic next to the Hudson!
Also, I hated the Empire State building... the people who work there just suck. They're very rude (typical NY, though, I guess). However, if you DO go, I would suggest going at evening/night and also DEFINITELY get the audio tour. I know it sounds lame and grandmaish, but Rob and I did it and it made the whole "employers-suck" episode totally worth going up and seeing NY from the sky ( :

I've never been. But if I went to NYC, I would visit the Twin Towers memorial site. And the Statue of Liberty - that seems to be a given. Have fun!!
temple for sure because when you are inthe busy city and everything is so wordly feeling you get a drastic change inside those doors! love it.
